Student Council helps share students' ideas and interests with faculty and staff while assisting in fundraising, school-wide activities, social events, and hosting the school dances. Members of Student Council model appropriate behavior and values to help guide St. John Berchmans School into excellence. Each morning two members of Student Council lead the school in the prayer, The Pledge of Allegiance, and morning announcements, as well as raising and lowering the flag each day. The Student Council act as ambassadors to our school by leading tours to potential parents and students. Each Student Council member is a leader at our school. Leaders are those students who help people and solve problems. We form committees that will help develop and strengthen different aspects of the St. John Berchmans school experience for all students. Student Council is open to 5th-8th graders.
National Jr. Honor Society
National Junior Honor Society is new to SJB in 2017-2018. Sponsor, Mrs. Amy Vitacca, will be guiding this service-oriented honor society as they work together to better our school and community while maintaining stellar grades.
Mr. Yatcko and his Guardian Angels serve our school each morning and afternoon by opening doors, greeting our students and families, and ensuring that safety is maintained at each arrival and dismissal.
